Curved Ladder Towel Rails

Curved ladder towel rails have become a firm favourite among contemporary bathroom owners in recent times. There are quite a few reasons for this which we'll explore in this handy buying guide - hopefully we'll provide you with the advice you need to help you make a more informed decision about whether or not one would be right for your home.

Why should I choose a curved ladder towel rail?

While similar in appearance to straight ladder towel rails, these designs feature a series of bars that curve outwards slightly. Some people prefer this look over straight rails but it's purely down to personal taste more than anything else. The curve makes it slightly easier to hang towels over as there's more of a gap between the radiator and the wall behind it.

What is BTU?

You'll probably be wondering what these three letters stand for as you'll notice them in the product descriptions of our bathroom heating range. BTU stands for British Thermal Unit and is essentially a rating that lets you know exactly how much heat a particular towel rail will emit. It shows how much energy is used in order to heat one pound of water by one degree Fahrenheit. The higher the BTU number of a radiator, the more heat it will be able to produce.

If you've tackled DIY jobs like this yourself in the past then you shouldn't run into too many issues. If you're unsure however then Victorian Plumbing strongly advises that you use a plumber to install your heated towel rail for you, especially if you plan on mounting it in a different location to your existing radiator as you might need to remove floor boards to access piping which is definitely something best left to the professionals.
