The unique honeycomb effect of hexagonal tiles has become an increasingly sought-after look in recent years. Championed in lifestyle magazines as the perfect way to create a statement wall, we recommend hexagon tiles to anyone looking for something different in their home.
Although statement walls are the go-to use for hexagonal tiles, we recommend checking their suitability for floors as well, as a hexagonal floor in a bathroom is an instant level-up. If your project just needs a splash of personality, try a half wall or even a splashback.

Beautiful tiles
11th June 2026I used to work at another tile company and learnt a lot about tiling there. I used to steer away from patterned tiles like these as was never enough variation in the pattern direction but I am very impressed with the multiple variations across the 10m2 of tiles I have. There are enough with patterns and enough plain for it to give a 'wow factor' without the over bearing of patterns. I only gave 4 stars on appearance as I tiled my bathroom myself and I am unsure if the tiles are the same batches as sizes seem slightly out (could be the wall though). I have managed to pop these on my wall at 6 months pregnant and is my 4th time tiling a bathroom. So they are easy to install with a wet cutter for awkward cuts and a manual cutter for straight cuts. If I moved, I would buy the tiles again. Delivery was great and none were damaged.

FAQ's
Hexagon tiles are a quick way to take your space from "nice" to "nailed it". The six-sided shape brings a designer feel to bathrooms, kitchens and feature areas. Here’s what you need to know before you start planning.
What makes hexagon tiles different from regular tiles?
Hexagon tiles have six sides, which means they break the usual grid pattern you get with square or rectangular tiles. Instead of straight lines, you get a honeycomb effect that feels more custom and more considered; a small shift that makes a big visual difference.
Where can I use hexagon tiles?
Hexagonal tiles work almost anywhere, as long as the tile is rated for the application. They can be used on:
- Kitchen splashbacks for instant interest with no visual overload.
- Bathroom walls and floors
- Feature areas like fireplaces, entrances, alcoves and shower niches.
- Transitions, where one surface meets another, like blending floor tiles into timber.
Always check the product details to confirm whether it’s suitable for walls, floors or both.
Do hexagonal tiles suit small or large spaces better?
Both; the key is tile size:
- Small rooms: Use mid-sized hexagons to help the pattern read cleanly.
- Large rooms: Choose larger hex tiles or stronger colour contrast to deliver more impact.
Which materials and finishes should I choose?
There are a whole array of materials and finishes to choose from. Here are some of the options:
- Porcelain tiles: Tough, low-absorption and ideal for bathrooms, kitchens and floors.
- Ceramic tiles: Best for walls where you want style with less weight.
- Marble effect tiles: A premium look without the upkeep.
- Matt tiles: More slip-friendly and great for floors.
- Gloss tiles: Reflective and perfect for walls.
Is installation difficult?
When it comes to installation, hexagonal tiles just need a bit of planning:
- Mark a centre line before you start.
- Dry-lay a section to check spacing and alignment.
- Use the right spacers to keep everything neat.
If layout sparks stress, get a tiler to handle that part. This can make all the difference to the final look.
