Why should I buy a square shower tray?

Square shower trays are ideal for a wide range of bathrooms, regardless of the overall style. They are very practical, as they can be installed in both large and small rooms and are particularly useful if you need to save space.

How easy are they to fit?

Installation methods vary depending on the style of tray you choose. Flush-to-floor trays require more work, as you’ll need access beneath the floor to fit them correctly. Raised trays, on the other hand, use legs to lift the enclosure and allow your pipework to sit underneath without cutting into the flooring. A panel is then used to conceal the pipes from view. If you are tackling this yourself, make sure the tray is properly secured with silicone sealant, as a loose tray can be dangerous.

 

I can't get access under my floor, what should I do?

If access is an issue, a square shower tray with leg stands is the solution. These legs lift the enclosure, providing space underneath for the pipework. This is ideal if you don’t want to cut into the floor. A panel then wraps around the sides of the tray to conceal the pipes from view.

 

Are they easy to keep clean?

Square shower trays require very little maintenance to keep them looking their best. A quick weekly wipe-down with a sponge and a suitable cleaning product will prevent dirt from building up. Avoid using harsh cleaners, as they can damage the surface and cause staining.
