Heating Elements

Radiator heating elements let compatible radiators and heated towel rails produce heat using electricity. They’re particularly useful for keeping towels warm or taking the chill off a bathroom without switching on the whole central heating system. Choose from standard, thermostatic and selected smart heating elements, depending on how much control you want.

Start by checking which heating element your radiator or towel rail is designed to use. The range covers outputs from around 100W to 2000W, with plenty of 150W, 300W and 600W options. Some elements provide straightforward electric heating, while thermostatic models let you adjust the temperature. Always match the wattage and connection requirements to the radiator manufacturer’s specifications.

A dual fuel T-piece allows a compatible radiator or towel rail to connect to both your central heating pipework and an electric heating element. That means you can use central heating when the boiler is running and switch to electric heating when you only want that radiator warm. Matching cover caps are also available to give towel rail heating elements a neater finish.
