Looks Very Classy

25th September 2023

We’ve only had this sink and unit installed for a few days but so far we are very happy with it. It feels solid and of good quality. The unit itself looks like it marks quite easily with greasy fingerprints, but seem easily wiped off. We’re very happy with it and have had a few compliments! We have also got the matching bath panel.

Love it! Great Quality and Looks Fabulous in our New Bathroom!

19th September 2023

We were looking for something fairly traditional for our Victorian bathroom refurb, and this fit the bill perfectly. We had a bit of space to have a slightly bigger sink unit so for us this 800mmm cabinet was a great size - it has a nice amount of space around the sink to put all your bits and bobs while you are getting ready, and is sooooo easy to keep clean with it all being marble. It's a dream to just be able to wipe the whole worktop down and swish away any water into the sink. The cabinet is good quality, nice and solid and is a lovely subtle pale grey/taupe colour and will tone in with so many colour schemes. The only thing we changed were the handles - the ones that come with it are really nice but as we have gone for black taps and accessories we have put some black handles on our cabinet instead of the silver ones, and I think it makes it look even better. Very happy with our purchase! :-)

FAQ's

When you're planning your new bathroom, storage will be something which is important. One of the most effective ways to keep your daily essentials neat and tidy is to install a vanity unit. Don't worry about having to compromise on style inorder to keep things practical though as these fixtures are designed to complement pretty much any choice of decor you canthink of. In this guide we'll be paying attention to traditional vanity units, and what you need to think about if you'relooking to buy one.

What are my choices?

You have plenty of options to pick from here. If you have a small bathroom then a single wall hung vanity unit will be agood choice, but if you share a large bathroom with your partner then there are freestanding double vanities availablewhich provide each of you with your own sink and also a larger amount of storage space. You just need to select somethingwhich is practical for your lifestyle really.

Traditional vanity units consist of a ceramic top which is paired with a wood cabinet. This can be either real wood or afantastic value laminate. Both of these options will provide you with a long-lasting, durable product. There are differentfinishes and handles available too, so creating a coordinated look should be easy to do.

These units are supplied in either a one or two tap hole fitment. This will affect the type of tap you will need (a monobasin mixer for a 1TH unit for example) so make a note of this before you buy.

Do I need to purchase anything separately?

You do, and it's worth making a note of this before you buy anything as you'll need to factor these into your budget. Most traditional vanity units won't come supplied with taps or wastes so you'll need to get these separately. There areloads of choices out there though so finding something to match isn't difficult at all. You'll also need to invest in a newtrap too so keep this in mind.

Are they easy to install?

They can be a little bit tricky if you're not used to this kind of DIY. There's quite a lot of work that goes intofitting a vanity unit correctly as you have to make sure they fit perfectly and there can be a fair amount of plumbing workinvolved as you'd imagine. We'd recommend you to get a professional out as this will give you peace of mind.
