Apollo Frameless RH Hinged Door Square Enclosure

Nice frameless construction, looks and performs well, magnetic seal.

Builder put up with ease, classy looking shower enclosure.

Easy to install and instructions clear.

Looks great, but very challenging to install. The instructions aren't that clear and the rawl plugs provided are no good for plasterboard. The seal between the door and the side panel did not close well all the way down. The support arms have too much flex in them, and it is difficult to screw the bottom brackets for the panels into the shower tray (as this is dependent on what material it is made from). If I'd known how hard it was to fit and that it has its flaws I wouldn't have bought it. I would choose something else.

The instructions were written by a non English speaker, are poorly drawn and do not cover all the steps or major parts (a simple video or revised instruction download would solve this problem) Build is not as hard as the instructions make it. Build quality is good.

Despite its good quality, this shower enclosure lets itself down by the plastic border that contradicts the ‘frameless’ name. I wonder if it could be removed…

Pros: Instructions were well drawn making visual references easy to mimic, look and feel is very nice and the door seals very adequate. And the magnetic strip in the seal helps bide well. Cons: As the kit is universal this can be confusing to understand at first, need two people when lifting the glass panels into place and hanging the door, pre-drilled holes didn't exist based on the instructions. A 3.2mm drill bit requirement? I didn't have that so had to use 4mm and insert my own plugs, the frames could do with an additional hole and/or secure washers as it didn't feel secure enough with the standard three. Offset Supports again could do with an extra drill hole for extra strength.

Looks great and quality is good. I have fitted many showers in my career as property developer this was the hardest fit so far, would be a lot easier with 2 fitting it. Looks great when complete but would not recommend for average Solo DIYer. Also the door seal supplied was too big so door would not close anywhere near closed. Had to purchase alternative for £6.99 elsewhere but worked fine after that.

This enclosure is quite well made, but the instructions are awful. I'm not a pro but i've fitted a few showers enclosures before and i've not had one as difficult as this!
