Can the fixing points to the wall be adjusted or are they fixed at 750mm as in the diagram?

Hi, this is in a fixed position and cant be adjusted. Hope this is some help, please let me know if you have any further questions.
can this kit be connectect directly to a bath mixer tap?

No sorry this wouldn't connect to a mixer tap, you would need a shower valve such as this one /Premier-ABS-Round-Thermostatic-Bar-Valve-Top-Outlet-Chrome-VBS002.aspx?FT=5059,&pgno=1
