Nice tiles but can’t do the patterns advertised

I got these tiles recently and my tiler was quite perplexed by the pattern examples given. You can’t do half the patterns advertised because you’d need to buy half of the tiles in the inverse pattern, which don’t exist as far as I can see! So I was a bit annoyed that I couldn’t have the pattern I wanted. They still look nice though!

Tiles complied with website description. Disappointment came from the poor packing which resulted in 35% of the tiles being damaged in transit. However Victorian Plumbing were extremely adroit in handling this and sent a replacement box within a week - of which 2 more tiles were broken. Apart from slight inconvenience very pleased with product.

What are geometric tiles?

Will geometric tiles make my room feel smaller?

Not if you choose the right pattern and scale. In smaller rooms, go for mid-size formats like 225 by 225mm tiles. These will provide enough detail without crowding the space. In larger areas, don’t be afraid to go bold. Use contrast and even border tiles to frame the room and ground the design.

Are geometric tiles tricky to install?

Some patterns need a bit of planning but it’s nothing a bit of preparation can’t handle.

Start from the centre of your room or feature wall. Then, dry-lay a section to check how the pattern flows. Make sure you use tile spacers to keep everything consistent.
