Good quality finished tiles. Gives the expected finish you would want. May need to open every box on delivery though as I had one box with a corner broken on every tile. Manage to use these for the cuts.

Beautiful blue tiles

Really happy with these tiles. I used them in my downstairs WC and they’ve made a noticeable difference to the space. The colour is vibrant without being overpowering, which works really well in a smaller area. They’re a great option if you want to brighten up a room without it feeling too busy. I’d say they’d work particularly well in a mudroom or bathroom where you want a bit of character but still keep things balanced. Overall, a really nice finish and exactly the look I was going for.

FAQ's

Wall tiles don’t just finish a room, they make it feel thought-through, stylish and complete. Whether you’re adding the finishing touch to a family bathroom, a standout splashback or a hallway with real personality, wall tiles offer an upgrade that’s built to last. Let’s break down the questions that’ll help you choose with confidence.

Why choose wall tiles?

Wall tiles are a low-maintenance, long-lasting upgrade. Unlike paint that scuffs or wallpaper that starts peeling the minute it meets steam, wall tiles stay looking sharp. Cleaning’s a breeze too; a quick wipe and you’re done. No touch-ups, no repainting, no wondering why that one patch always looks grubby. Plus, wall tiles bring texture, shine or colour that paint just can’t compete with.

What materials are best for wall tiles?

It depends on the space and how much wear and tear it sees.

Ceramic tiles are great for most walls. They come in a huge range of colours, finishes and shapes, are budget-friendly and simple to install. They’re perfect for feature walls, splashbacks and serene bathroom setups.

Porcelain tiles offer extra durability. They’re denser, tougher and more water-resistant, making them ideal for full bathrooms, shower areas and busy spaces.

Can I use wall tiles on the floor?

Generally, no. Wall tiles are usually thinner and smoother, which can make them slippery and not strong enough to handle foot traffic. Floor tiles, especially porcelain options, are made to take on weight, moisture and daily wear.

If a tile works for both walls and floors, it’ll always be clearly noted on the product page. Unless it says so, keep wall tiles for walls and floor tiles for floors.

What tile layout should I choose?

Layout makes a big difference. Here are your main options:

  • Laying wall tiles in a stacked or straight design feels clean, modern and minimal.
  • An offset layout gives a classic look, ideal for kitchens and bathrooms.
  • Herringbone or chevron designs bring instant flair, especially with slim or plank-style tiles.

Using longer tiles (like 200 by 600mm)? A one-third offset helps reduce lippage (those small height differences between tiles) and creates a more natural flow.

How do I choose the right grout colour?

Grout can completely change the feel of your tiles.

Match your grout to your tile for a smooth finish. If you want the tile pattern to stand out, then choose a contrasting grout. For example, using white metro tiles with dark grout is a great look for statement walls or splashbacks.

Always test grout samples in your actual lighting. Daylight and bathroom lighting can make colours look completely different.

Why choose Victorian Plumbing for wall tiles?

Because we make the whole experience easier from first idea through to the finishing line. You can order up to 3 free tile samples, so you can see the colour, finish and texture in your own lighting. And, if you’re still deciding, our tile visualiser lets you upload a photo of your room and preview different tiles on your own walls. It’s the quickest way to go from "not sure" to "that’s the one".

Once you’re ready to buy, we keep things simple:

  • Free standard delivery across most of the UK when you spend £499 or more
  • 0% finance over 6, 9 or 12 months if you want to spread the cost
  • Trade accounts available for bigger projects with bulk savings

We also make working out quantities easy. Our tile calculator tells you exactly how many tiles you’ll need, whether you know your measurements already or not.
