What is tile trim used for?

Tile trim gives exposed tile edges a neat finish and helps protect them from knocks. Our range includes trims for wall edges and corners, along with profiles for joins between different types of flooring.

What size tile trim do I need?

Choose a trim deep enough for your tile and the tile dhesive behind it. An 8mm, 10mm or 12mm trim won't suit every tile, so compare the tile's thickness with the trim's product dimensions. If your tiles are particularly thick or uneven, your tiler can confirm which size will give you the neatest fit.

What's the difference between square and rounded tile trim?

Square edge trim gives exposed tiles a straight and defined border. Rounded trim creates a softer, curved edge. L-shaped trims offer another slim way to finish where tiling stops.

How do I choose a tile trim finish?

Match the trim to your taps and other fittings for a coordinated look, or choose a colour close to your tiles for a subtler edge. Look at the finish as well as the colour: brushed, shiny and matt trims can look quite different, even when they're all described as gold or silver.

Is metal or plastic tile trim better?

Both can give your tiles a tidy edge. Metal trims come in a wide choice of decorative finishes, including brushed brass and matt black, while plastic trims offer colours such as white, black and grey. The right choice is the profile, depth and finish that suit your tiles and where the trim will go.

Do I need separate corner pieces for tile trim?

Sometimes. Matching corner pieces are available for selected trims, but they aren't included with every length. If you want to use them, check that the corner matches your trim's range, profile, size and finish before ordering.

Can tile trim be cut to length?
