Easy purchase & delivery and looks great
31st July 2026I had an insurance job to retile my en-suite. The contractors ordered the tiles and didn’t check them on delivery, and didn’t order enough to account for any breakage etc. If they’d inspected them on delivery, any tiles would have been replaced by the company if there were any factory defects. It turned out there were four tiles with a factory defect on them, and the contractors made the strange decision to go ahead and put them in and hope the marks would come off. Since I refused to sign it off until the marks were rectified, and they wouldn’t come off, they had no choice but to replace them. But while they’d been working and I realised there weren’t going to be spares, I had a moment of good sense and ordered a box for myself to keep for any future issues. That was lucky, as it turned out they were needed straight away to replace the four marked tiles. The delivery driver was amazing as I have physical difficulties and struggled with the kerbside delivery, and he went above and beyond to help me that day. My box of tiles were all perfect, and the tiler returned this morning to put them in. My bathroom looks lovely now, all bright and new with my chrome fittings and shower. In terms of value for money, the tiles were offered to me by the insurance company so I didn’t have a choice about what to pay, but the box I bought certainly didn’t break the bank and was affordable. I need to buy a new box of spares now, though! The insurance will recompense me for the first box I bought + delivery so I’m not out of pocket. I’m really happy as this is a nice sunny colour and that bathroom gets a lot of bright sunlight. The previous tiles were grey, so I definitely feel it’s an uplift and an upgrade.

The perfect finishing touch
26th July 2026I searched high and low for the right tile for my new kitchen and here it was. The stone effect is magnificent! It all blends around the kitchen, the quality of the tiles are fantastic and the delivery was communicated and as helpful as we could be considering it's kerbside delivery.

FAQ's
Anti slip tiles (also called slip-resistant or non-slip tiles) are designed to give you extra grip underfoot, especially in splashy bathrooms, walk-in showers and outdoor spaces. If you want style and safety, you’re in the right place. Let’s break down what you need to know, so you can choose the right tiles for your home.
What are anti slip rated tiles?
Anti slip rated tiles are floor tiles that have been tested to show how much grip they provide. You’ll usually see this shown as an R rating, which runs from R9 to R13.It's basically a scale that tells you how confident you’ll feel walking on them, especially when things get wet.
Here’s a simple way to understand the ratings:
- R9 - Low slip resistance. Best for dry indoor spaces like living rooms.
- R10 - Moderate grip. Work well as kitchen floor tiles or when used in hallways and low-use bathrooms.
- R11 - Reliable slip resistance. Ideal for use as bathroom floor tiles or in wet rooms.
- R12 and R13 - High grip. These are the heavy-hitters used in pools, gyms and commercial wet areas.
The higher the number, the more grip you get. Knowing your R rating means you choose tiles that look great and do the job.
Are gloss tiles more slippery than matt options?
Generally, yes. Gloss tiles have that shiny, polished look, which makes them perfect for walls and easy to clean. However, it also means they can be slippery when wet. Matt tiles, on the other hand, have a textured feel that gives you better grip underfoot. That’s why they’re the best choice for bathrooms, kitchens and any spot where water might be a factor.
Where can anti slip tiles be placed?
Pretty much anywhere, indoors or outdoors. The key is choosing the right grip level for each space:
- Living areas: Lower slip ratings are fine.
- Kitchens and bathrooms: Go for something with a bit more traction to help out when splashes happen.
- Wet rooms and walk-in showers: Choose non slip shower tiles designed to stay grippy even when completely soaked.
- Patios and outdoor paths: Higher slip ratings help keep your footing secure in all seasons.
Where there’s water, moisture or heavy use, a little extra grip keeps things both safe and stylish.
