Excellent well designed and made toilet, only let down by seat
22nd June 2025So practical and easy to install relative to a close sided toilet, Everything is accessible including the nuts for the toilet seat. Very pleased with appearance and function. The toilet flushes excellently clearing the bowl both numbers 1s with half flush and number 2s with full flush. The only negatives are: 1) The toilet seat looks nice but is not strong enough for my family and needed to be replaced. But this is not the first toilet I have installed and I was expecting this. In most toilet kits the fittings are cheaper than desirable to cut costs. Also most modern toilet (including top fix) seats hinges are secured in place with a mechanism that relies on friction created by the down wards clamping force to the the surface of the toilet to prevent the seat from twisting sides ways, And it is almost impossible to clamp it down tight enough this was no exception. The seat part itself was was fit for purpose but the lid was not suitable to sit on and broke when I sat on it t instal the toilet role holder (D'oh!). Also the soft close mechanism was week and broke on first sue. All in all I would sate the toilet seat was of reasonable to get you started and when compared to the average, but expect to replace it. 2) Flush finishes a little abruptly, a function of the of the internal flush mechanism. 3) Could do with a little more glaze on t he soil pipe spout, not visible but this is where sealing happens so it is important. It is very common for toilet manufactures to skimp in this are god knows why? All in all an attractive, excellent value practical toilet.

Close coupled budget purchase
19th June 2025The closest coupling kit is totally not fit for purpose-When I saw the poor quality of it I spent £6.50 on a proper stainless steel connecting kit, with adequate seals, nuts and bolts

'Weird toilet you got there mate'
18th June 2025Our builder said 'weird toilet you got there mate' (in hos Bristolian accent. Weird because the water inlet pipe needs to be fitted to the side (so you can see it) and he needed to find an adaptor for the outlet pipe (3/8ths). Maybe it's a French toilet or something? But we just bought it on the look and the price... not knowing about the fittings. So beware when buying. But it's a decent toilet in all other respects. Happy enough.
