3 Hole Basins

Gorgeous Sink, Love the Extra Height
9th July 2026Could not be more pleased with this sink. Due to space constraints we could not accommodate a vanity unit and so we "settled" for a pedestal sink. I am so glad we made this choice, really helps nail the traditional aesthetic we were going for. The bowl size is great, easy to wash your face over it without splashing water everywhere or bumping your forehead on the tap. Also happy that we went with this taller version rather than the standard height, as my partner and I are both quite tall. We paired it with the Crosswater Belgravia Crosshead Mixer Tap.

What taps do I need for a 3 tap hole basin?
You'll usually need a three hole basin tap, with a spout in the middle and separate hot and cold controls on either side. Buy the spout and hot and cold controls as a matched set, as the components and connections are designed to work together. There are modern and traditional styles available, so you can choose a design that works with the rest of your bathroom.
Will any 3 hole basin tap fit a 3 hole basin?
Not necessarily. Check the diameter of all three tap holes, the centre-to-centre spacing and the basin's deck thickness before you buy a three hole bathroom sink. You will also need enough space below the basin for the fixings and connections.
Some tap sets use separate components with flexible connections and allow a range of mounting positions, while others have fixed or more restricted centres. Follow the tap specification and check that its spout height and reach suit the bowl. You should also confirm that the tap works with the water pressure in your home.
What's the difference between a 2 and 3 tap hole basin?
