1 Hole Basins
A 1 hole basin has a single tap hole, making it ideal for a monobloc basin mixer. Hot and cold water are controlled from one tap, giving you a simple setup that works well in bathrooms of all sizes.
Choose from compact cloakroom basins, larger bathroom basins and designs to suit both modern and traditional spaces. With just one tap opening to work around, the basin can keep an uncluttered look around the tap.
Before you buy a one hole bathroom sink, make sure your chosen tap is designed for a single tap hole and works with the size of the basin. It's also worth checking the tap height and spout reach, particularly if you're choosing a smaller or shallower bowl.

FAQ's
Already have a mixer tap, or found one you like? These FAQs cover matching it to a 1 tap hole basin, deciding whether this basin type suits a smaller bathroom and understanding the alternatives if you prefer separate taps.
Can I use a mixer tap with a 1 tap hole basin?
No. A one hole basin is specifically designed to work with a single basin mixer, giving you hot and cold water through one spout. Before you choose one, check that the tap is designed for this type of basin and that its mounting requirements suit the tap hole, deck thickness and available space.
Compare the tap's height and spout reach with the size and depth of the bowl. A spout that is too short may direct water onto the back of the bowl, while one that reaches too far forward or sits too high may increase splashing. The water should land comfortably within the bowl with enough space below the spout for handwashing. You should also check that there is room beneath the tap for its fixings and connections and that it suits the water pressure in your home.
Are single hole basins good for small bathrooms and cloakrooms?
A compact 1 tap hole basin can work really well in a smaller bathroom, en-suite or cloakroom because you only need space for one tap. Just check the bowl size as well as the overall width, so you're not saving space at the expense of room around the basin.
Can I use separate hot and cold taps with a one tap hole basin?
Not as deck mounted taps. If you prefer separate hot and cold taps, take a look at our two hole basins. For a separate spout with individual deck mounted hot and cold controls, our three hole basins will be a better fit.
Wall mounted bathroom sink taps use the wall rather than the basin for mounting, but they are normally paired with a basin that has no tap holes. Choose the basin and tap configuration together rather than leaving an unused hole or altering the basin.
