FAQs
If you?re looking to redesign the heating system in your home and would like to go for classic styling, then column radiators may be just what you?re looking for. Column radiators are hollow tubed radiators made from cast iron or mild steel, able to add texture and character to your space.
What are the benefits of having column radiators?
Panel radiators are most common in homes across the UK. However column radiators should not be overlooked. Their robust style and large surface area allows for excellent energy efficient heating.
While they are often associated with traditional interior design, column radiators are an excellent choice for both modern and traditional rooms. The elegant columns featured in column radiators come in horizontal and vertical shapes and many colours to suit whatever your style. They're also great space savers as many can be wall mounted.
How good are column radiators at permitting heat?
Vintage build column radiators can offer even the tallest of rooms a high heat output rate. When compared to panel radiators, column radiators have been found to permit greater heat from the main body. The larger surface area makes column radiators superior in heating rooms faster without using up more energy.
Is there any difference between a 2 column and 3 column radiator?
Yes. Two column radiators feature two long panels, whereas three column radiators have three long panels. The more columns your radiator has, the bigger it will be, and the bigger your radiator, the more heat it will dispense. For more information on buying a radiator, visit our
