Monza 800 x 1000 offset quadrant shower enclosure
9th July 2026Very good apart from the screws for the door stoppers could’ve been smaller that’s the only fault I can think of

Good, but deserves better handles.
8th July 2026The door itself was fine, but it deserved better handles than those provided. As mentioned by several other purchasers, the installation instructions took some understanding and I eventually discarded them in favour of common sense. 😊 The delivery service was excellent and overall I've been happy with my purchase. So much so, that I expect to buy further products from Victorian Plumbing in the near future.

FAQ's
Choosing a shower enclosure is easier when you know how each style works with your bathroom layout. These FAQs cover the key things to know before you choose, based on the questions we're most commonly asked by customers.
What's the difference between a shower enclosure and a shower cubicle?
A shower enclosure is the glass area around your shower that helps keep water inside the showering space. It is usually made with glass panels and a door, helping reduce spray and protect the rest of the bathroom floor from water.
A shower cubicle is often used to describe a more enclosed shower setup. In many cases, people use the terms "shower enclosure" and "shower cubicle" in a similar way, but a cubicle can sometimes refer to a fuller, more self-contained unit. Shower cabins are a good example, as they can include built-in walls, a ceiling, jets, lighting or steam features.
What is the best shower enclosure to buy?
The best shower enclosure depends on your bathroom size, layout, shower tray and how you use the space. Each shape has its own benefits, so it helps to compare how much room you have inside and outside the shower:
- Quadrant shower enclosures fit neatly into a corner, making them a practical choice for small to medium bathrooms.
- Offset quadrant shower enclosures give you a little more showering room while still working well in a corner.
- Square shower enclosures are compact and versatile, making them useful for en-suites, cloakrooms and smaller bathrooms.
- Rectangular shower enclosures give you more space to move, so they work well in larger bathrooms or longer shower tray layouts.
- Walk-in showers and wet rooms can create a more open feel and make access easier, but they need careful planning around drainage, waterproofing, splash protection and floor gradients.
- Frameless shower enclosures offer an open look, but they usually need thicker glass and more accurate installation.
For most bathrooms, an offset quadrant is the most versatile starting point, as it makes good use of a corner without feeling cramped and suits a wide range of tray sizes.
Can I just replace a shower enclosure myself?
You can replace just the shower enclosure if your existing shower tray and plumbing are in good condition. Before you choose a new one, check that the enclosure size, shape and fixing points work with your current setup. This helps avoid extra alterations once fitting begins.
Fitting a shower enclosure can be manageable for a confident DIYer with the right tools and a good understanding of home installation jobs. You will need to measure carefully, make sure everything is level, follow the manufacturer’s instructions and seal the enclosure properly. The most common mistake is not allowing enough tolerance on measurements, as enclosures rarely have much adjustment once the wall channels are fixed. If you are unsure, it is best to use a qualified installer or local plumber to help make sure the enclosure is fitted safely and watertight.
How long does it take to fit a shower enclosure?
Fitting time depends on the type of enclosure, your bathroom layout and whether any extra work is needed. A straightforward replacement may be quicker if the shower tray, walls and plumbing are already in good condition. More complex designs, larger enclosures or new tray installations can take longer.
As a rough guide, a like-for-like enclosure swap on an existing tray typically takes between two and four hours. If you are fitting a solid resin or ceramic shower tray, the mortar may need around 24 hours to dry fully before sealing around the tray. The enclosure fitting process usually includes measuring, marking and drilling fixing holes, fitting wall channels, securing the side and door panels, then sealing the outside edges and joints with silicone.
What is the life expectancy of a shower enclosure?
The lifespan of a shower enclosure depends on the quality of the materials, how often it is used and how well it is maintained. Sturdy glass, strong hinges, smooth rollers and reliable seals can all help the enclosure feel better to use over time.
Regular cleaning and maintenance can also help extend its life. Keep the glass, tracks, hinges, rollers, seals and joints clear of soap residue and limescale, and check for signs of wear when cleaning. It is also worth choosing an enclosure with replacement seals, hinges, rollers or handles available, as this can make future repairs much simpler.
