What is a wall mounted toilet?
A wall mounted toilet has a pan fixed to a support frame behind the wall. The cistern and pipework are hidden in the wall or a false wall, leaving the floor beneath clear and easier to clean which, in turn, can help a smaller bathroom feel more open. Rimless designs are also available, with fewer hard-to-reach areas around the bowl.
The frame height is set during installation to suit the user and the finished floor level. Some setups allow the seat height to be adjusted to around 380mm to 480mm from the finished floor.
Do wall hung toilets save space?
Wall hung toilets can help make smaller bathrooms, cloakrooms and en-suites feel more open. The cistern is hidden behind the wall or inside a unit, so there is less visible bulk in the room.
