Smart Radiators
Smart electric radiators give you independent heating with connected controls built around how you use the room. WiFi radiators let you adjust temperatures and heating schedules through an app, including when you're away from home, without connecting the radiator to central heating pipework.
Before choosing a WiFi-enabled radiator, start with how much heat the room needs, with different wattages for different spaces. Once you've got the power right, smart controls such as thermostats and heating schedules can help you decide when the room is heated and to what temperature.
Choose a horizontal radiator for wider stretches of wall or go vertical when width is limited. Our range of smart radiators includes aluminium, ceramic and oil-filled designs in a wide choice of sizes and finishes, so you can match the radiator to both the space available and the look of the room.

FAQ's
Smart electric radiators give you more control over when and how you heat individual rooms. These FAQs cover how they work, how to choose the right wattage and how smart features can help you manage your heating more effectively.
What is a smart radiator?
A smart radiator is a modern heating solution that lets you manage your home’s temperature remotely using apps, voice commands or other smart technology. Unlike traditional convector radiators that connect to your central heating system, smart radiators run on electricity and give you more control over how and when you heat your home.
These WiFi radiators can be programmed to maintain specific temperatures or adjust at set times, helping you heat individual rooms around your routine and avoid unnecessary energy use. Depending on the model, smart radiators can also include features such as geolocation, energy monitoring and compatibility with voice assistants like Alexa or Google Home. For bathrooms, smart WiFi towel rails offer similar connected control while also keeping towels warm.
What wattage smart radiator do I need?
The right wattage depends on how much heat your room needs. Room size matters, but so do factors such as ceiling height, windows, external walls and insulation. Work out the room’s heat requirement first, then choose an electric smart radiator with enough output to heat the space properly.
Going for a higher wattage isn't automatically better, so size the radiator to the room rather than simply choosing the most powerful model.
Can I control smart radiators separately?
Yes, you can control the temperature of each room independently with smart radiators that have their own compatible controls.
To achieve room-by-room control, each electric smart radiator can be set to a specific temperature and given its own tailored schedule. Depending on the model, you may also be able to manage the heating remotely through an app.
If you have a gas-powered central heating system instead, smart radiator valves can give you similar room-by-room control without replacing the radiators themselves.
Can smart electric radiators help me save energy?
They can help you avoid unnecessary heating by giving you more control over when and how each room is warmed. Features such as schedules, thermostatic controls, holiday modes and open-window detection can all help you use the electric radiator more deliberately. However, how much energy you actually use still depends on the radiator's wattage, how long it runs and how much heat the room needs, so smart controls don’t automatically mean lower bills.
Do smart radiators need WiFi to work?
Most smart radiators can still be used manually if the WiFi connection drops, but you may lose app control and other connected features until the connection is restored. Exactly what remains available depends on the radiator, so check the product instructions for how it works offline.
