What size pedestal basin do I need?

The best size is one that gives you enough room to wash comfortably without taking over the bathroom. Check the basin's width and projection, but remember to measure the pedestal too. Its height and footprint will affect where the complete basin can sit and how much floor space it occupies.

Allow enough clearance around the basin to use it comfortably and open nearby doors. If space is limited, look for a compact or short projection design, but check that the bowl still provides enough room for everyday use.

 

Can a full pedestal basin work in a small bathroom?

Are full pedestal basins easy to install?

Installation may be straightforward when the wall is suitable and the existing pipework already sits within the pedestal. The basin must still be level and securely fixed according to the manufacturer;s instructions; do not assume the pedestal alone will hold it in place.
