Glass bath screen
25th March 2026A popular design which arrived promptly and in one piece was easy to install by oneself

It’s ok
21st March 2026Bought the shower screen when having my bathroom fitted. The screen is lovely and looks great however the seal that goes at the bottom doesn’t stay on, it’s tight one end and loose the other meaning water escapes underneath and onto the floor.

FAQ's
Choosing the right bath screen can make your bathroom feel sleek, tidy, and far easier to keep dry. Whether you're turning a standard bath into a shower bath setup or upgrading an existing screen, knowing how screens fit, what sizes they come in, and how easy they are to install will help you pick the perfect one. Below, we’ve answered some of the most common questions to make the process simple.
Can you fit a shower screen to any bath?
You can fit a shower screen to most shower baths but the key is choosing the right shape to match your bath. Shower screens come in different designs because baths do too; the screen needs to follow the bath’s lines so it sits neatly and keeps water where it should be.
For example, P-shaped and B-shaped screens have a gentle curve to match P-shaped and B-shaped shower baths, giving you more room to shower comfortably. L-shaped screens are made for L-shaped baths and often include a small hinged section to help stop splashes at the open end. If your bath has a softer curve, a curved shower bath screen will fit smoothly along its edge. Finally, fixed shower screens are designed for straight baths, where the edge runs in a clean line. Because they don’t hinge or fold, they are perfect if you want a simple splash guard that stays in place; just make sure your bath has a straight rim so the glass can sit flush and seal properly.
Are bath screens a standard size?
Bath screens aren’t one fixed size but most follow common measurements to fit the majority of standard baths. They’re usually measured in millimetres, with widths typically ranging from around 730mm up to 985mm, and heights most commonly at 1400mm. However, some bath shower screens are a little taller, reaching up to around 1500mm, which can offer extra splash protection if you prefer a higher screen.
You’ll also find different glass thicknesses, from lighter 4mm options to more substantial 6mm, 8mm and even 10mm screens. Thicker glass generally gives a more premium feel.
Is it easy to install a bath screen?
Installing a bath screen can be straightforward if you’re confident with DIY but it’s still recommended to hire a professional if you can.
If you do decide to fit one yourself, be prepared with the right tools (like a drill, sealant gun, spirit level and screwdriver) and take your time to check parts, mark your fixings accurately and seal around the outside edge when you’re finished. You can follow our step-by-step guide on how to fit a bath screen; most screens can be installed in around 30 minutes but you should always unpack and inspect the screen first, and make sure the area is safe to work on.
