We purchased this basin for our cloakroom/WC. It is small enough that it fitted into our tiny cloakroom but not so small that it doesn't lend itself well to its purpose. I have large hands and can comfortably wash my hands without feeling I'm making compromises. The matt finish is a nice look, but do not interpret matt to mean flat in colour. It has a soft sheen. We fitted a chrome monoblock tap and matching pop-up plug/waste. As said, it looks great. Although the basin is sold as "wall hung" and incidentally comes with the hardware for installation, we have installed the basin on top of a vanity unity as a "sit-on-top" style. It does not mention this option in the listing which is why we felt it may prove to be important information to anyone else wishing to do a similar undertaking themselves.
