The Chatsworth exposed thermostatic bar valve with bottom outlet is part of our traditional collection of bathroom products. Classic styling with a chrome finish and constructed from solid brass, the Chatsworth bar valve has two cross-head tap head controls with classic white indices, one controls the flow and the other controls the temperature. Featuring the latest anti-scald technology, the valve is pre-set to a safe and optimal 38°C, this can be easily offset by holding down the safety push and click button on the handle. Designed to be used with a slider rail kit (not included).

Gravity Fed Systems:
If you live in an older property there’s a good chance you have a low pressure gravity-fed system. This shower valve requires a minimum pressure of 0.5 bar therefore we recommend installing a negative or universal pump (sold separately). Please note: Positive pumps will not work.

Perfect mix of vintage charm and modern convenience
The vintage taps on the modern body makes it really easy to turn on and off with soapy (or less mobile) hands. The kids don’t need so much help now and we can save water by turning off with soapy hands during the shower.

Excellent Easy to use Shower Valve
Ordered Monday on normal delivery. Arrived Wednesday 11:30. Started installation at 1:00 with removing old valve head. By 1:25 new valve installed and tested. The instructions are not very detailed but I suppose this assumes you already have everything in place. The valve includes off set pipes, wall covers but did not use them as replacement. Two slightly different coloured pairs of white end pieces for the valve, one pair slightly yellow and one slightly blue so you can choose which suits your tiling. This feels solid heavier than the old and sticks out a few mm more from the wall than the old one but not a problem. The pipe connectors only need to be hand tight only as into rubber seals although it does not say this in the instructions.. There is a flat I assume to make it easier to remove later. In operation, works perfectly. I have not checked the exact preset temperature limiter but seems about right. Temp range for high to low works fine. Guarantee is 5 years so should be good for another 10 years.;-)

Yes the hot connection is on the left which is standard within the industry, and the cranked connections are 1/2" BSP for connection into the hot & cold feed pipework.
