Nova Frameless Quadrant Shower Enclosure

So happy! I bought a complete bathroom from Victoria Plumbing 8 years ago. It’s a tenanted property & the shower enclosure needed changing however the enclosure is now discontinued. I contacted Victoria plumbing & the chat agent advised this replacement product. My plumber did the install in 1.5 hours and it’s absolutely perfect. I genuinely couldn’t have been any happier.

Note that the max dimensions are 880. This gives approximately 1 - 1.5 cm tray edge outside the shower, This is also apparent from the preformed curve of the threshold bar. Note also that the dimensions diagram shows the doors hanging inside of the tray edge however the fitting instructions and bottom door seals require the doors to be on the edge, that is, not overhanging into the recesses part where the water runs. The seal only works if the edge is wide enough. Ours is fitted to nearly the max 880 size but the tray edge is not wide enough to accommodate the doors so the seal is on the inside of the edge. This means that water can splash under the seal and over the threshold edge. A different seal will help and a redesign to reduce the spacers and door guide to push the doors out further but I guess as it stands there will be many trays that are not suitable so be careful. Our tray edge that the 5cm and I think 6.5cm would be the minimum for the supplied seal to work. I can't fault the enclosure at all it lovely but I didn't realise (and it isn't mentioned anywhere) that there is a minimum tray edge requirement for the enclosure to fit on for it to he water tight. Obviously I didn't spot that failure until I fitted the doors by which time it's too late, so for that I'm really disappointed and will have to use a different seal or extend the edge/threshold in some way.

I fitted this on my own and would recommend having a second person at times. It is designed for a tray that doesn’t slope inwards to assist drainage. Also requires drilling into the tray. Astounded I got all dimensions square when I measured after fitting. The doors slide so well, and it looks so much better than a shower with a frame. The inner part of the door handles is the only negative. I’m concerned about tightening the mounting screws too much, a torque setting would be useful. I will look at those again, they can be turned by hand, so not secured enough.

18 months on from the previous review and the installation instructions provided in the box don't appear to have improved. The online instructions are better, but it still took my bathroom fitter 4 hours to get everything positioned correctly for a good fit. The unit is really nice however, and I'm pleased with the result.

This is my second Nova frameless shower. The design is much improved. The doors run and close beautifully now. I'm very pleased with it. The 800 x 800 is perfect for small bathrooms but still gives room to move and it looks really nice. The instructions are awful. Its a good idea to position the top rail (with the ends on it) and attach it to the side panels to see where the side panels need to go and position everything else from there. Its not hard to install once you work it out but the instructions are next to useless.

My bathroom fitter had this on and off the wall three times. The instructions are dreadful. Doesn't define how far into the shower tray the walls need to be fixed In order for the runner and doors to fit. Could be so much easier with detailed, proper instructions. That said though, it's great now that it's in and it looks stunning. If you have plenty of patience and are prepared for it to take 4 x longer than it should to fit.....

We've finally got this enclosure fitted, it's been a frustrating journey that would have been helped if the instructions included measurements stating how far inside the tray the screen needed to be positioned and how to adjust the rollers on top of the doors so the doors hang straightTo be fair these were eventually provided and the installation was completed but it would have been a far quicker job had we had these up front

Really smart and modern looking.

Bought this and it is now installed, looks fab, delighted.
