Stone Drenching

Whilst curating this collection, we spoke with Matt on how best to choose a stone effect tile for your home. He shared the following:
"Considering the overall aesthetic you want to achieve, whether modern, rustic, or something in between, will guide your choice of stone.
Next, look at the colouration and detailing in the tiles; high variation can create a ‘choppy’, almost copy-and-paste look which doesn’t lend itself to a calming aesthetic, whilst minimal variation may result in a flatter, less impactful effect. Tiles with subtle movement or variation keep it interesting without being overwhelming."

The Arvada Blue Oxide Metal tile might seem like an odd choice for a collection called Stone Drenching. However, its patina-like patterning creates such a similar look to the stone effect finishes of other tiles in this collection. This tile allows for all the natural elements that stone tile can bring you but in an exciting deep blue colour, quickly making it one of Matt's favourite picks.

Although having the same tile from floor to ceiling might seem like a daunting commitment, this can truly open up the possibilities for décor and furniture. When looking to add accessories to a stone drenched room, Matt explains that it's important to "control the palette; pairing a natural stone with an earthy colour, from deep green to sandy taupe to a deep terracotta to play on that connection with nature can work well. This can be lifted with the choice of hardware and finished with plants to enhance the natural connection and add movement and detail to the room."
Stone Drenching offers a unique spin on the trend of colour drenching. Perfect for bringing elements of visual texture, colour, and nature into your space, consider stone drenching for your next renovation.
