Chatsworth Graphite Soft Close Toilet Seat

This is the 5th toilet seat I have purchased and only purchased them as it is the only one that fits my WC. It is very poor quality and in a matter of a months it starts to warp and becomes very unsightly, this is a fault mentioned in a few of the reviews, looks like a problem ignored by Victorian Plumbing. I can’t afford to change my whole bathroom or I would until I can I have to put up with a poor quality toilet seat.

I bought this toilet seat with the complete bathroom, I found it awful to sit on as every time it felt like the seat was coming off, eventually the clips came off and the coating blistered. I put it down to the fitter not fitting it correctly so I paid another £60 and within weeks same thing happened. I now need another toilet seat, would return but can’t seem to find my receipt. Feel like I’ve been robbed and my lovely bathroom now will have to have a white toilet seat that don’t match but at least will last.

I got one of these put in my bathroom a year ago in May. Less than a year of it being in and the wood underneath is all chipped and swollen and the seat itself comes off every time some one sits on it. Absolute pain. Not really wanting to fork out £60 for another

And so I'm all for scented candles, But for something more concrete, If you truly want some me time, Buy yourself a toilet seat. I considered glow in the dark , For midnight trips without the light on. I looked for one with fish in it, Then thought those fish might end up frightened. Instead it's graphite grey. MDF. Soft closing with the hinge. It's like a sensei bidding you farewell ,When you have done your thing. It is amazing. It has revolutionised working from home. In that moment I'm Khaleesi, Sitting on the iron throne. The next time that you've been well behaved, And you deserve a treat, Remember chocolate melts. And flowers die. Just buy a toilet seat. Think of how much you spend on sofas, And which one you will use more, Although of course it's less kosher, To ask to try it out in store. And while £60 may seem a lot, To go and spend a penny, After the first 6000 times, You've made it back already. So if you think it's not considered, Or it's just an impulse buy, I guarantee you this decision is, One I'll sit with my whole life. It's not something you'll find on instagram, Or in a pithy tweet, But if you truly give a damn, Buy yourself a toilet seat. Do you really need that spa day, Or that holiday in Crete?

Absolutely terrible. I am on my second one of these as the first disintegrated. VP replaced it before it disintegrated due to it squealing like a squeaking door hinge when raising or lowering it. The replacement is actually a different colour as the first was grey (different story regarding this "black" range) so it doesn't even match the rest of the bathroom. To be fair, i could live with that but this one is also disintegrating.Why is it disintegrating? The slow-close mechanism is held together with a plastic plug. The plastic plug eventually pops out and the mechanism slides apart. I've pushed it back together again numerous times and popped the plug back in, just foir it to happen again a day or two later. I'm not even going to request a replacement as there is no point. I will have to buy a new seat. At a whopping £60, this is a terrible item.
