Mira Leap 1000 Sliding Door - how not to follow the instruction
2nd December 2025The product was OK but the installation instructions were of little use. One cannot actually install the unit as documented for any opening close to 980mm wide, It would work for 1000mm wide openings. The need is to mark out, drill the walls and fix the side channels, then take them off again and slot them over the sides of the main frame, place the frame and side channels in position and screw the side channels partly in. You cannot use the screws supplied as they are not long enough to work through the frame as the drop off down the channels before one can get them into the wall plugs. Then you can actually apply the silicon down the back of the channels and screw the channels in position. The installation of the sliding door was an issue as well as the wheel supports seem to have changed from those documented. The magnetic strip to the frame that keeps the door closed would pop out so I had to apply some contact glue to keep it in position.
