New toilet - very pleased
1st November 2024Wanted a new toilet for my recently refurbished bathroom. It's been a long time since we bought the last one and hadn't realised there was so much choice. This is perfect for our space and has lovely smooth lines. Particularly love the rimless feature on a practical note. The only reason I gave 4 stars for the value for money rating is as time will tell and it's only been plumbed in a week! Trusting the brand will speak for itself however.

Difficult decision
1st April 2023Found it very difficult selecting a toilet as the information available is limited. Firstly I already had a small cloakroom rimless toilet and I wanted rimless again. That narrowed things down quite a bit. Also I didn't want BTW. Although this hides the out pipe I find having easy access to all the fittings at the back comforting. This one partially hides the soil pipe so you can't see the attachment to the spigot. Also I wanted stainless steel cistern bolts rather than rusting or nylon bolts. I had to do a bit of extra research to check this. The flush valve and water inlet valve provided are geberit made. Decent quality I believe. However, I decided to replace these with a different make that I feel is good and more cost effective should I need to replace. The ceramic cistern has a small notch cut out the back that I presume is for pipe work to enter thru the back of the cistern if so desired. This toilet, thankfully, doesn't have a shelve in the pan that seems to be a German thing. However, the pan does have a large enough passage to accommodate waste. So I haven't noticed an issue with jams after a flush. There aren't any screw holes in the back of the cistern so my plumber opted to stick the cistern to the wall with silicone. The glazing on the whole thing is very nice and is 'WHITE' not a dull white. Some parts are not glazed but these aren't seen once installed against a wall. The shape of the pan is more angular than curvaceous, but I can live with that compromise. The toilet seat is pretty good and easy to install and the soft close works well. Lets see how long this lasts????
