Apollo RH 900x900mm Frameless Diamond Enclosure (Inc. Tray + Waste) R/H Opening

A super sleek frameless diamond shaped shower enclosure, the Apollo features a stylish minimalist design which will sit beautifully in the corner of any style of bathroom. Features 6mm thick clear safety glass, stunning chrome plated brass door hinges and modern square door handle providing smooth and steady door opening. Comes with a pair of glass to wall chrome square support arms used to stabilise the glass panels. During installation extra care must be taken to avoid damaging the fittings.

Supplied with a durable acrylic capped shower tray and hi-flow shower waste.

Disappointing finish

My installer struggled to assemble this shower cubicle and discovered at the end that there are no cover caps to block the hole on top of the wall mounting strips. I raised a query with VP who did their best but came back to say this is how it is intended to be supplied. This considerably cheapens the product for the sake of a few pennies. If anyone has any suggestions how I can cover these holes and stop moisture/foreign objects entering I would appreciate it.

Average Quality

I had this enclosure professionally fitted and whilst it looks good, it doesn't feel very sturdy and the door easily pushes past the seal when closing. The plumber commented that the supports for the glass panels, which run parallel to the glass, provided very little support compared to most other enclosures were the supports run diagonally to the glass panels. The enclosure visibly moves as you open and close the door, which didn't happen with the enclosure it replaced. Wish I had spent more now and suspect this enclosure won't last anything like as long as the one it replaced.

Typically Victorian Plumbing

Although the product looks great and fitting instructions are easy to follow, actually putting thoughs instructions to use is extremely difficult which lead to two doors completely blowing on me leaving me with a few nasty cuts. In the end I got someone in to help me fit the door as it was a complete nightmare. It's not the first problem I've had with the companies products, doubtful I'll be using them again as a plumber of ten years the products can be extremely frustrating to work with.

Incorrect Installation Instructions

The instructions in the box contain very little useful information. The position of the wall channels is crucial if the door is to fit and seal properly but there is inadequate info about where to set these. I came to the office and phoned customer service. I gave up when it said estimated waiting time 15 minutes. I looked online and there are installation instructions here (on the product page) which are different but not for the Apollo frameless I was sold. I am a professional installer who has fitted hundreds of shower enclosures. Had I followed either set of instructions, I would have had various holes in my nice tiled walls which would be wrong. It's not that it's a badly made item, it's just that you appear not to be bothered about the quality of the information you make available for the product. The end result: I wasted a whole day just to fit this simple enclosure.

Not the Best but Looks Good

Our plumbers really struggled with this enclosure, the instructions are very basic and there is no one who can help or advise. Being frameless it's not the sturdiest of enclosures but time will tell - delivery options were not very customer focused however the pallet delivery went well.
