The Uppy is an intelligent universal plug and filter that can be used on any basin, bath, sink or shower. Measuring just 11cms in diameter, it's easy to use and is a very effective retrofit for any waste requiring a plug. Laying over the waste its open and close function works similar to a click clack waste. Press it down once and its closed, press it in the centre and it’s open as a filter to catch food, hair and other waste. It also has a handy suction grip that can be used to stick Uppy to tiles nearby as a great tidy away.

Just exactly what I wanted. A plug to fit a wide (waste disposal) plug hole. Fits and works perfectly. No fancy moving parts, just a simple plug with pop up strainer. Plain white and looks smart in my sink.

Fits any sink
I have a really badly designed plug hole in my sink that has never had a fitting plug, let alone rubbish catcher since I bought this place 3 years ago. Periodically I have tried to rectify the situation, only to throw money down the drain (no pun intended (seriously)). This simple, cheap, piece of flexible plastic is the answer to all my problems, if only I'd found it sooner I would have saved so much money.

Does the job
I bought this because I couldn’t find a traditional metal plug/strainer that fits my kitchen sink. This works really well as an alternative. Small caveats: it’s easy to dislodge whilst washing up, and I think the white silicon will become discoloured over time, but overall I’m happy with it.
