Wenko Kos Soft Close Toilet Seat - White

I purchased a 'substantial' MDF painted loo seat from B&Q about 9 months ago which the seat broke away from one of the hinges so was looking for a replacement. I spent ages 'researching' loo seats. Life is too short right? And this one sounded much more up to the job. I was a bit disappointed when it arrived at how 'flimsy' it appeared. But having no functioning loo seat, I fitted it. It seemed okay to begin with. But after a few weeks of use, not forcing the lid down, it keeps loosening. I'm not a huge person! I don't have a stream of kids constantly in and out forcing it. So I've a feeling this is going to be as short lived as the last one. I didn't really want a bakolite type hard plastic seat as my bungalow is freezing in the winter, and for those of us who remember outdoor netties, those seats are brutal on your derierre when they are cold! I guess you get what you pay for...
