Rydal Chrome Traditional Cistern Lever

Good looking but let down with too large sleeve hole allowing far too much movement giving impression of bad fitting.

Looks good and works well. A little bit of movement of the handle arm in the threaded tube when you flush it due to some extra room in the threaded tube (as mentioned by the other square peg/round hole review) but its the same as my previous flush and perhaps this is normal and you don't notice it particularly. Came with all the washers required. Short story: Looks nice. Good value. Pleased.

Chrome flush handle arrived in good time, appears to be excellent quality and was easy to fit. It would be great if less plastic could be used in the postal packaging.

The product does wobble a bit, owing to more-than-desirable play between the square-section metal shank, and the cylindrical threaded pipe ot passes through (an instance of the famous square peg in a round hole), and on this account I can rate it with no more than 4 stars. However the lever itself – a chromium-plated metal casting, is considerably more substantial than two other, otherwise similar fittings that I had previously had, both of which were so flimsy, they broke in the course of normal use within a few months, clearly because the alloy in the casting was of very poor quality with absolutely inadequate tensile strength. The new one does the job well enough, and I believe it will not break in the near furture. When you consider that the lever I had originally on the same cistern had lasted at least 50 years, the fact that a similar item simply breaks after a few weeks, is a sad comment on the decline in quality resulting from the present state of the world. But this item is at least a distinct improvement on the two that broke. If it didn't wobble, I would have been prepared to pay a little more for it, and to give it 5 stars.

Lovely looking handle to replace a very old one. Looks great and is of an excellent quality. Expected it to be more expensive so am delighted with its appearance and value for money. And it was so easy to fit. First time shopping with Victorian Pluming but will be back again.

Seems well made. Expect it to last well. Time will tell.
