will this shower, Mira 9.8kw run on an 2.5 cable that my old Mira sport been using

Hi Michael,
Most definitely not, the cable required for the shower in question is 10mm twin & earth cable and the appropriate R.C.D within your fuse box.
I would strongly recommend you get the advice of an electrician.
