Boiling Water Taps

Boiling water taps provide an instant supply of boiling hot water directly from the tap, bypassing the need for a kettle. A must-have for those who enjoy cooking as well as those avid tea and coffee drinkers, these taps are easy to install and utilise heated water tanks. Certain models even provide 3-in-1 functionality, delivering cold, warm and boiling water from a single unit. Get your boiling water tap in an instant with free standard UK delivery on orders over £499 at Victorian Plumbing.

A boiling water tap can improve the practicality of your kitchen, so take the toil out of your boil and get hot water as high as 98°C in an instant. Boiling hot water taps work with a specialised heating tank which boils the water and keeps it at the set temperature throughout the day, making cooking food and preparing drinks easier and less time-consuming.

Many of the filters used in our instant hot water taps boast long lifespans of around 6 months, so you won't have to worry about changing them regularly. Browse our full range from leading brands including Grohe, Arezzo and Palma, all of which are great for improving the taste of water in hard water areas.

Grohe Filter

4th October 2024

We are very happy with this product. The instructions were clear and it was very easy to fit. As we have very hard water, the lifetime of the filter is greatly reduced and we will probably only get about 600l out of it. Before purchasing this product, it would be worth finding out the type of water in your area. That said, we are enjoying our filtered drinking water.

FAQ's

Instant hot water taps are an increasingly popular choice when it comes to upgrading a kitchen, cutting down the time it takes for everyday tasks. But before choosing a new instant boiling water tap, take a look at some of these frequently asked questions to help you choose the right option.

What is a boiling water tap?

Sometimes known as a boiling tap or kettle tap, a boiling water tap is just like a normal kitchen tap but it provides instant hot water without you needing to boil a kettle or saucepan on the hob. Many kettle taps will also provide filtered cold water, alongside the usual cold and hot tap functionality you would expect.

How do boiling water taps work?

Boiling water taps work by using an electric-powered water tank that sits under your sink and connects to your water supply. The water is heated in a tank and feeds the hot tap instantly when you turn it on. The capacity of the hot water tanks differs across brands and models, but is usually between 2 and 4 litres.

Do instant hot water taps save money?

Instant hot water taps can be more economical and save you money over the long term. Boiling water taps use less energy than kettles, so in terms of running costs they are cheaper. However, the upfront price is much higher than a kettle and generally more than a standard hot water tap. The main benefits of instant boiling water taps are around the time they save you.

Are kettle taps eco friendly?

Instant hot water taps use much less energy than kettles - up to 50% less in some cases. Alongside energy efficiency, they are also more eco-friendly in terms of water waste; it's very easy to boil far too much water than you need in a traditional kettle, whereas you'll only use the water you actually need with a boiling water tap.
