No epic is complete without its quiet guardian. And in my domestic heating saga, these Chatsworth Bleed Valve & Blanking Plug are just that — small in stature, monumental in purpose. Clad in the same brooding anthracite as their nobler brethren, they arrived in a modest packet, like ancient relics disguised as humble hardware. I installed them while the wind howled outside — an omen, perhaps, or just weather. Either way, I felt powerful. The bleed valve now rests like a porthole to another realm — the realm of steam. I open it with reverence when needed, releasing the hissing ghosts of trapped air, who whisper: “Thank you, Stuart.” The blanking plug? Elegant. Resolute. A perfect punctuation mark at the end of my thermal opus. It stares into the abyss of unused entry points and says, “Not today.” Together, they complete the trinity. The Hearthminster. The Valves. And now… The Closers.
