Carlton Natural Walnut Wooden Soft Close Toilet Seat

Not cheap, but pleased with the finish of the seat , however 2 years down the line the soft close hinge has failed. Not what we expected with a seat of this quality and price and now having to replace it again.

Beautiful natural walnut toilet seat. Although relatively expensive, fits well with our old stripped pine door to the bathroom. A little fiddly getting the seat fully installed, as no instructions provided. However, we figured it out.

Arrived today, nice looking seat - it's quite a thick wood so raises the height of the toilet seat compared to the old flat plastic seat. Unfortunately it came without fitting instructions (only a bathroom care sheet). I found the PDF instructions online but it was quite a bother for me to fit. I simply can't tighten the bold enough to stop it sliding around. I will have to call a plumber to help which is a bit of a pity. The quick release doesn't always release both sides of the seat, but I think this is because it couldn't get millimetre perfect spacing between the two posts. Overall a nice seat but needs a professional to fit it.

All products are excellent quality and value for money. Difficult to believe the difference of before and after.

This is an mdf toilet seat not solid walnut as one might think (as I thought) from the title description. I should have read the full description before buying, doh! This is a good quality mdf toilet seat though. it has very good quality fittings that grip for a non slipping seating experience and the vinyl coating on the seat is of a good thick standard. Because of all these elements I can see this seat lasting well into the realms of bad taste. This is also why I shall not be returning it, overall I am happy and I have fitted a lot of toilet seats.
