I wanted something that would fit the pipe. Tick. Less than 30 cm wide. Tick. Brushed brass. Tick. Built well... seems so. We had what I assume is a previous iteration, and it split round the edge, but this one seems more robust. Hence I took another punt on it.

I had bought and tried three other budget shower handsets but wasn't happy with either of them. Too plastic with chrome spray paint, adjustable MultiJet options which would on any setting other than all holes open would take anyone's skin off so would never actually get altered or ridiculously oversized heavyweight head that pulls the bracket off the wall and those little rubber nipples that are supposed to prevent limescale clog just annoy me too much and give me the ick. I just wanted a decent quality product at a sensible price. Luckily Victorian Plumbing had the perfect balance of metal quality head and no fussiness at a very decent price it looks and feels great. I only wish the holes were a fraction of a micron bigger for a better flowrate but they are still bigger than most of the rubber nipple types. I'm happy with the compromise. Thank you V.P.
