Alaska Standard Soft Close Top Fixing Toilet Seat

As my original toilet seat lasted less than 2 years before the soft close broke and then the plastic cracked, I bought this replacement from Victorian Plumbing. It was quite easy to fit and is functional. The soft close works well. The whole seat can be removed by loosening two screws. I would have preferred a button to press, the plastic mounting plate although adjustable, lets the aesthetics down but overall, it solved my problem.

The hinge fitting and inserts did not fit the toilet. It would help if the sizes of the inserts were given.

I was really impressed with how easy this was to fit—took less than 10 minutes with basic tools. The seat feels sturdy and doesn’t slide around like others I’ve tried. The soft-close function works perfectly and feels smooth. For the price, the quality is excellent. Highly recommend if you’re after a budget-friendly but reliable seat

The toilet seat was delivered promptly and was fitted within 10 minutes. Item is good value for money a lot cheaper than B and Q and Homebase. Instructions easy to follow. Wife impressed that's the main thing!

Good quality and easy to fit. But, unfortunately, the seat doesn’t stay up. Which is a bit of a challenge for some members of the family!
