Is there a specific Trap you would recommend with this Venice pedestal sink ?

Hello, Thank you for your question, I would use a 1 1/4" telescopic Bottle Trap. Hope this helps!

I am looking for a basin with pedastal that is very near to the wall to hide unsightly pipework

Hi DM, The Venice Modern Short Projection Basin & Pedestal has approximately 100mm of space between the wall and the rear of the pedestal. This is to allow ease of access to the waste connection fittings and the water supplies to the tap. If you're concerned about completely hiding pipework, consider a basin with an accompanying vanity unit. Cheers, Shaun
