I failed to read the details listed on the website and thought I could charge two toothbrushes simultaneously but the published description explicitly states that only one item can be plugged in at a time. On other forums, you may find discussion about sockets getting hot when used to charge toothbrushes, because the sockets are designed only for short usage when shaving. I have not found that this socket heats up when charging toothbrushes, so it appears to be fine for that purpose.
