It’s all in the detail

To ensure our son’s wet room remained modern and contemporary we decided to use a black bottle trap under his sink as his sink is hung on the wall to allow his wheelchair to fit underneath. This keeps his wet-room looking minimal and of course does its job perfectly.

I have this trap set and the pipe does not fit my universal connector (Mcalpine)

Technical Team. replied on 11th May 2021

Hi, McAlpine manufacture 2 fittings that will solve your problem. This fitting will get you off your pipe and on to 1 1/4" Push fit Part Ref: MS4-32MM. and again the second fitting Part Ref: MS4-32SOLVENT will get you on to 1 1/4" solvent weld ABS pipe. Thanks. Technical Team.

The outlet is 31.5mm and needs to connect 32mm waste fitting.

Hello, Thank you for your question. Yes, a 32mm to 32mm straight-through connection from a supplier such as McAlpine would work fine on this waste pipe. Kind Regards.
