Grohe Precision Flow Thermostatic Shower Mixer 1/2"

My old shower mixer was broken/cartridge was not working and leaking all the time. I replaced it with this one and had no issues (thus far!). It is a good reputable brand and quality, the price was fair but bear in mind this is just the mixer (no shower hose/head/rail) which was perfect for me as I wanted to keep the existing. Just something to bear in mind if ordering and thinking that was included :)

Works as described - purchased this unit to replace previous mixer which became faulty. Installing the mixer was very easy to do, was able to do it my self in just matter of minutes. Solid build quality from Grohe, all buttons/knobs seem well built. Been using for a few weeks now, haven’t found any issues and no leases. Have even found the water pressure to improve compared to previous mixer! Just slightly on the higher price end but your paying for great quality.

The temperature control is very accurate as once you set temperature it stays at the temperature you set. Very good if you have children. It’s easy to clean. I would recommend this to my friends as this brand hasn’t let me down once again this is value for money for sure. Everything is as described on the package.

I am fully confident to let kids to take shower independently because of the present Safe Stop temperature in this shower mixer. Also I had no problems with water fluctuations so far. I love the water saving feature here, but I can't really verify this until I see water bills. The mixer is rather heavy and quality built and it works flawlessly. The only negative, even though the product is made to last, it is very easy to damage chrome coating with cleaning chemicals. Also, white buttons look odd and the price for the item seem to be on a higher side. Apart from that, brilliant.

I'm very impressed with the looks and overall quality of it. It looks very modern and stylish. I found this very easy to install even if I'm not a qualified plumber and just the occasional DYI-er. The overall quality is great and being a GROHE product I trust this will last me forever. The fact that you can lock and set the temperature at around 38 degrees makes it ideal to have the perfect hot water temperature every time without having to play between hot and cold trying to achieve a comfortable temperature. The manufacturer also claims that it saves water too but I will see this on my next water bill. The fact that it comes with 5 years manufacturer's warranty reassures me that if something will go wrong I can always get support from the manufacturer. I just hope that the Chrome finish will last for a few years as the previous shower's Chrome finish was peeling away after just one year, this was the main reason I replaced it. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase and the quality of this thermostatic shower.

Grohe is great quality brand and this time it proves that. Bought this mixer as old one started to leak and after replacing can say only good things about it, its great looking and simple controls easy soft turning it on and off and also easy temperature set .Its easy replacing so you mostly can do it on your own . Would definitely stick to this brand in future if needed.

I really like Grohe showers and in terms of looks, water flow and temperature control this unit did not disappoint. What was not so great was the design and quality of the fittings for installation. I was swapping out an old failed shower, so should have been a piece of cake. In practice, proved difficult to get fittings snug and watertight. Leaked at first; persevered with PTFE tape and joint glue to get secure. Otherwise, would have been 5-star. Took an average DIYer bloke a good 2-3 hours to figure it out and fix due to poor instructions on the very first part! - Once you have pushed the small round circular part down into the base of the tap I rotated this part and then pushed it down, instructions show it to be installed in another position but the tap won't move left n right. You can test this and when you install both tap top and bottom pieces!
