Geberit Type 290 Toilet Cistern Dual Flush Valve

Part replaces legacy item in my system. It was not compatible with the earlier cradle but this order came with new cradle so we replaced this as well. I would also recommend replacing the Filling Valve as the plastic thread on legacy had been crossed in past.

Visitors coming when we found loo would not flush. Husband took cistern apart to find it was the valve, was going to call out a plumber when I looked online and found you had what we wanted quick service and perfect saved us time and money well done!!

These were purchased to replace flush valves installed about 8 years ago. The valve that gets the most use failed after about 2 years use and I made a repair that lasted a further 6 years. That repair has now failed and these valves were purchased as replacements for the one that I repaired and another that doesn't get as much use but is now showing signs of failure. The replacements are identical with the original components so I imagine these will fail in normal use too. Victorian Plumbing supplied the components quickly and efficiently, and I'd recommend them to anyone. Not so sure about Geberit components; knowing what I now know about top flush systems I'll probably not be using Geberit next time they fail.
