The handle on the left controls the water flow, whilst the handle on the right controls the temperature. Thermostatic showers prevent a fluctuation in temperature whilst the shower is running - prevents the risk of scalding, or sudden cold spells!

dream shower this was a replacement for my old shower bar . I put the shower in back when we moved in the house . over time it stopped working and it started leaking it cost a lot more than the new one . now I have fitted the new shower bar from I have my dream shower back better cheaper in price than the old one it look a lot better too )

Succeeded where Triton failed
We had, foolishly, replaced our dripping Triton shower with another Triton shower. Guess what within weeks we had drips again and every time another tap was turned on it poured out. I then found this shower, right look, great price and using ceramic discs instead of washers. Shower has not dripped since it was installed. Easy to control and good flow. SORTED!

Hi Susan, the mixing valve is used to mix hot water with cold water in a hot water heat distribution system to maintain a safe temperature, kill bacteria and prevent incidents such as scalding when the water is in use. It expands and contracts when the water temperatures fluctuate, these movements then cause the valve to regulate the amount of cold and hot water by mixing them to maintain the temperature.
