Chatsworth Traditional 700 x 490mm Arched Mirror with Glass Shelf - Brushed Brass

When it arrived, the mirror/shelf had to be assembled, which I was surprised at (it probably says that in the small print which I didn’t read), but, that was fine - very straightforward. Hanging it, however was a different matter. Turns out the strap at the back, with the holes in it that you hook over the screws, wasn’t straight or in the middle. So it took several attempts, and many holes in the wall to hang it. Once it was up, it wobbled. After tightening the screws in the wall, and therefore increased difficulty in locating the screws and getting it on the wall, in the limited space in our downstairs loo, and contrary to the instructions, it’s up, it still wobbles slightly when you touch it (when you clean it or put anything on the shelf or just knock into it). Plus now that it’s up, I notice it’s ever so slightly bowed - like one of those mirrors in a fairground, so not very flattering! I thought £200 for a mirror was expensive, but I had a slightly awkward, narrow space to work with and I particularly wanted it to be gold/brass and I liked the fact it had a shelf, so decided to go for it. In all honesty, if I hadn’t done so much research and knew there wasn’t anything out there that I liked the look of so much, and if we hadn’t basically ruined the wall, so couldn’t just put our old, much smaller mirror back up and if it wasn’t so large and cumbersome, I would have returned it. This all sounds very negative. But the mirror, actually does look like I expected and the quality of the frame and glass and shelf it actually fine, I would have given it higher scores if the hanging strap at the back had been vertical, if it didn’t wobble and if I hadn’t noticed it was slightly bowed - which I think most people wouldn’t notice.

Lovely mirror looks great in the bathroom good quality, a bit pricey but worth it.

Haven’t used Victorian plumbing before but was really happy with our purchase. The mirror looks fantastic in the bathroom a real focus. The quality is exceptional and our friends have remarked how fantastic it looks in the bathroom.
