Great purchase

Decent design, some assembly issues.

This was fitted to a modern Ikea sink for me, by a professional plumber. The first issue was a lack of washer type mounting plate to sit on the sink surface around the hole, so the tap base kept moving around. We decided to use one that was part of the under sink assembly and replace that with something that would simply do the job. After about six weeks, the curved spout became wobbly. The threaded collar that fixes it in place was loose, and every day or two needs to be tightened up. Then the cold tap lever handle started to wobble and rattle, and after filing a complaint, I decided to fix it myself. I took the end cap off the tap and tightened up the screw that holds it in place. After a couple of days it was loose again. I will live with it as is, with constant tightening, as I can't face the hassle of returning it. It's a badly designed impractical unit and I would recommend getting something else. Maybe locally, as mail order returns for a tap are not practical unless you are a plumber and have a spare tap.
