How We Gather Reviews

Looks Great but Build Quality leaves much to be desired!!

I needed a pair of basin taps to replace my old ones due to leaking washers. Due to my age, I decided on lever taps , rather than the traditional usual tap top. Having now had them installed, I am sad to say that Quality Control was missed on these taps. The Hot tap lever closes after it passes the point of symmetry with the tap, whereas the Cold tap lever closes before being totally symmetrical with the tap. Therefore, as neither tap lever is symmetrical with the taps themselves, I cannot say that they are As Described, the Build Quality does leave much to be desired, especially on the Hot tap lever. Although the appearance is good, sadly, are these taps good value for money? Based on my experience, they are not worth the £58 paid. Even if Victorian Plumbing were minded to replace them, I have yet another plumbers charge to replace them. I also want to replace my bath mixer shower taps with a similar design but at £139 plus postage, I am not convinced that the quality will be there, based on my experience with Victorian Plumbing to date!

Nice taps, handles are a little "loose"

We bought these to replace some very old and very boring and very cheap taps. They look great and were easy to install. We needed the PTFE to complete the job. Our only slight issue with them, is that although they look sturdy and appear well made, when you turn the handle there is a slight wobble or looseness.. don't really know how to describe it. It's not obvious at the moment how to tighten the handles, but maybe it can be done. Other than this they are lovely and a great improvement on what was there before.

Very good, but...

It is difficult to read 'hot' and 'cold' on the taps. The words need to be clearer. I was disappointed that I had to pay extra on top of the normal delivery charge for delivery to the Isle of Wight. I've never had an extra delivery charge from other companies I've ordered from.

are these classed as a low pressure tape

Hello, Thank you for your question. These would work on a lower pressure system for sure but the recommended working pressures are between 0.5 Bar - 5 Bar. So this would really depend on your system. We do have some suppliers that do offer low-pressure taps that work from as low as 0.1 bar. Kind Regards.
