BAL Micromax Grout-Effect Sealant 310ml
BAL Micromax Grout-Effect Sealant is a high-performance, ready-to-use silicone sealant designed to provide a textured, grout-effect, matt finish for perimeter and movement joints in walls and floors. It's specifically formulated to complement BAL's Micromax3 ECO Grout range, allowing for seamless transitions between sealed joints and grouted areas. It offers excellent adhesion, waterproofing, and weathering properties.
Key Features:
Grout-Effect Matt Finish: Creates a textured, matt finish that mimics the appearance of grout joints. Note that the maximum matt finish is achieved by smoothing the silicone only once; repeated smoothing may reduce the matt effect.
Microban Antimicrobial Protection: Includes built-in antimicrobial protection to inhibit the growth of bacteria, mildew, and black mold, promoting hygiene in areas like bathrooms, kitchens, and food preparation spaces.
Versatile Applications: Suitable for sealing movement joints, internal & external corners, and perimeter joints on various surfaces, including:
- Acrylic
- Ceramic
- Fiberglass
- Glass
- Glazed tiles
- Porcelain
- Painted surfaces
Interior and Exterior Use: Effective in both dry and wet conditions, indoors and outdoors.
Waterproof and Weatherproof: Provides a secure seal that is resistant to water and weathering.
Wide Temperature Range: Withstands temperatures from -50°C to +180°C when fully cured.
Coverage: One 310ml tube covers approximately 8.8 linear meters with a 6x6mm bead size. Coverage may vary depending on bead size; the maximum bead size recommended is 25mm.
Cure Time: Sets in approximately 24 hours per 3mm thickness at 20°C.
