1200 x 900 Wet Room Walk In Rectangular Tray Former (End Waste) with Shower Waste & Installation Kit

Create a luxurious shower space with the help of this Wet Room Walk In Rectangular Tray Former Kit. Use the wet room tray former as a base, then install your chosen tiles on top – you can either shape standard tiles to fit or go for something more creative with mosaics. This spacious 1200mm wide unit is cleverly designed so that water drains quickly and efficiently when you shower, at a speedy flow of up to 40 litres a minute. For your convenience, an installation kit and wet room waste is included in the package.

The installation kit includes a screw lock high flow waste designed to enable water to flow from the shower tray at a rate of 40 litres per minute. Features a stylish chrome finish shower grate.

For installations where the shower waste must be installed above the floor the Orion Wetroom Shower Substrate must be used in conjunction and is sold separately.

Overall OK

Major letdown: The “wet room tray installation kit” came without the promised wood primer so check as soon as they arrive (we didn’t do this) Minor, but important considerations: 1) the installation kit was barely enough - suggestion to just buy the tray then the kit components separately. You will need adhesive, tanking, tape etc for the whole room/shower area anyway if building a wetroom. 2) the tray didn’t look exactly as advertised, with minimal slope between the edges and the waste outlet. What’s good: relatively cheap and in the end it works for our DIY bathroom

Not bad for a budget tray, but perhaps not a complete kit.

I purchased this tray former kit for a shower room I was building. In general it is good for a budget tray. I had to trim it down a fraction to fit my needs but this was easily done. The tray has been installed and tiled over with no problems at all. Negatives - I'm not sure I'd consider this a complete kit. It only comes with enough tape and sealing gum to seal the edges of the tray and not the upright corners of the enclosure I created. I ended up buying another tanking kit with more tape and gum to fully tank my enclosure. - The waste supplied is pretty good, however I wanted to use 50mm waste pipe and the adapter supplied to convert the waste to 50mm was a very loose fit. Just make sure you use plenty of solvent weld and test it before you cover it all up. Mine worked out just fine. Overall this isn't a bad budget tray, it installed well and I'm happy with it. However, given how expensive everything else for the shower room has been I can't help wonder if I should have spent a little more.

Can this be trimmed 100mm from both sides?
