Nowhere to screw the cistern to

Unlike a similar unit I bought from VP before, the back of this WC unit has no horizontal MDF that is high enough to accommodate the cistern fixings. I had to add another piece of white MDF secured with 4 corner brackets.

Can't Access the Cistern!

This unit has a *MAJOR* flaw, in that if it develops a fault where you need to access the cistern, there is no easy way to do it! After a few years, the flush button stopped working and the cistern was not filling up. All that need doing was a bit of fiddling with the pipe connecting the button to the cistern - however, we had to get a plumber in to do this as the only way to access the cistern is to disconnect the sink and take off the whole top of the unit!! I have no idea why the panel where the flush button is does not just come off like a lot of other similar models, but the only panel that does seem to come off is the one the toilet is against. Either way, you have to remove the toilet or the sink to access. If you are thinking of buying this, I would strongly suggest you go for another similar unit and check you can access things if you need to. It isn't something you necessarily think about when buying - I wish I had!

Cabinet Only
