It does indeed empty a bit

As mentioned by other people, when you turn off the tap the contents of the spout do empty, so you'll get a short additional bit of water. If you can live with that, it's fine. The waste installed fine (noting you probably need some putty to get a good seal).

Perfect Tap for My Bathroom Sink

I am so pleased with this tap! I never imagined I would ever describe a tap as an object of beauty, but that is what I do with this one. It's over a smallish basin, and replaced a fixed mixer tap which got in the way of most things you need to do over a basin. It's not just that this tap moves out of the way, it's the perfect height, looks good and the click-clack plug works a dream. Also, the price is very competitive (compared to a similar, but not as beautiful, tap)

Just fitted this tap and the valves appear to work the wrong way! The tap body is fitted the right way round, i.e. hot on the left and the grub screw to control the spout is at the back, however, the valves have to be turn backwards to turn the water on. his means that the lever on each valve is horizontal when thew tap is off and has to be lifted up to the vertical to turn the water on. Is this right? Is there a way to reverse this so that the lever are pulled forward from vertical to horizontal to turn the tap on?
